The very original place Felanitx is in the southeastern part of the island at the edge of the mountain range, Serra Llevant. As early as 2000 BC. There were the first settlements in this area. Felantitx, the name is of Roman origin, and derived from "Fenalicius" = place where you make hay. Agriculture is one next to the vineyards of the main sources of income of the community. On Sunday there is the large weekly market in Felanitx - those of the markets you should not miss.
