In the Northern part of Mallorca, a little inland lies the village of Sa Pobla. The city has remained one of the few untouched by tourism, small towns in Mallorca. So if you want to see a typical Balearic place, it is Sa Pobla. The inhabitants live mainly from agriculture. The soil in the area of Sa Pobla is very fertile. The place is the end station of the railway line from Palma to the north east of Mallorca. Every hour drives a narrow-gauge train to and from Palma de Mallorca. In the city center is the Plaza Major and the Church of St. Antony. Not for nothing that this place was named, the land of 1000 mills. Even today one finds many of the mills. Local attractions include the square of the mansions, the town hall and the parish church of Sant Antoni Abat. Every Sunday morning will take place at the Plaza Mayor, the weekly market - a vegetable market with mainly agricultural products from the region -. In the center of Sa Pobla are some restaurants and shops.
