Sa Pobla is located northwards the island, torwards the centre. This place is one of the most traditional and idyllic villages, far from the tourist areas. If you want to see the traditional, typical island life, this is the right place for you. The habitants are living and working in the agriculture. The little train which goes from Palma ends at this place and it goes back to Palma every hour. In the city centre is the plaza Mayor and the little church, St Antoni. Sa Pobla is also called, the land of 1000 windmills. Until today, you can see why. Well worth seeing is also the Plaza Mayor, surrounded by manor houses, the city hall and the church Sant Antoni Abat. Every sunday morning, there is a local market on the Plaza Mayor with local products and fresh fruit and vegetables. In the centre are restaurants and shops.
